What We Are Growing for the 2025 Season
As we step into the 2025 season we are excited to bring a lot more to the table than our pervious year; as we decided to add on a lot of different varieties that we have never grown before. This year is all about the supporting pieces to our market arrangements that we did not have last year. We’re talking about all the filler flowers!
So to say yes, we are a bit nervous that some varieties may just not do well with us growing them for the 1st time; but this is a risk I am willing to take. It will be a learning curve; but if it pays off we will have the most beautifully curated market table displays for our Cape Charles family.
We are very excited to share that we have planted over 300 peonies this year. While it may take two more years for them to become large producing plants we are excited to finally have them in our fields. Peonies are notorious for holding very well when cut, and is a great flower that can be shipped; something we need to experiment for ourselves a bit.
